In October, we took a field trip to Lawrence Cabin which showed what life was like for colonial children in the 18th century.  Also, we got to see Nitre Hall which was 19th century living.  Here are some scenes from our trip.

Friend Amy helps Nicky and Paul master the two-person saw.         Now it is Devin and Katie's turn to chop wood for cooking.

Friend Rich shows the boys how to start a fire.                     Sami and Jared make butter the colonial way.

Mike begins to churn the butter for lunch.                                  Emily takes a turn with the butter.

Time to clean up after our delicious lunch!                            Kerry is the colonial "dishwasher"!
