Welcome to the Jollie Ranchir Feaphs!

Meet The Jollie Ranchir Feaphs:
Our governor is Drew A. He is responsible for leading our colony and making final decisions. Our banker, who is in charge of all of our money is Joey H. Another important job is our recorder, Sophia P. This person must keep track of everything we do! Our trader, Shannon F., has good negotiating skills to deal with the natives and other colonies. Lastly, our mapper is the one who keeps track of our land (how much it is worth, who is in the area). This is Blake E. Together, we are The Jollie Ranchir Feaphs!
Why Did We Colonize:
Our group decided to go to the New World in order to colonize this new area and gain wealth and power. We have been sponsored by a private company which has given us initial supplies and will send us a shipment mid-way through our adventure. At the conclusion, we must pay the company one quarter of our wealth.
What We Stand For:
We are the Jollie Ranchir Feaphs. The colors we chose were blue, green, red, white, and purple because those are some of the flavors of Jolly Ranchers, which was a candy that all of us liked. The other reasons we chose those colors were because of what they represent. Blue represents freedom; green represents agriculture; red represents courage; and white represents peace. We also chose Feaphs, which stands for each of our last names first initial. We also put Jolly Ranchers on the flag because they are considered a delicacy.
Our Ships' Names and Cargo:
Our first ship is named Glider and carries six men, six women, and five children. We have four horses and three farm animals on this ship. It also has six guns for hunting and 200 units of food. Our second ship is called Soarer and has six men, six women, and five children. We have four horses, and two farm animals. We also have six guns and 155 units of food. Our third and final ship is the Flyer and has six men, six women, and four children. All other cargo is the same.
Our Colonization Journal:
01/09/08 - We are getting ready to set sail for the New World. We are excited but joyous and sad. We are joyous because we will lead a better life. We are sad because we will leave our family. We pray we have enough supplies for the voyage. We hope we avoid storms and have smooth sailing. Godspeed.
01/11/08 - We are ready to set sail for the New World. Are ships are ready to go, the food is fresh and packed, but our people aren't so ready. They're all panicking and crying for fear of finding bad land. Will we survive? Can we get there? Too many questions, so little time...
01/23/08 - To start off, we had good winds and worked hard to travel 800 miles. Then we hit the doldrums and moved nowhere. Afterwards, fierce storms hit us, and stopped us for the time being. Next we found some good winds and traveled 700 miles. Then we unfortunately lost 100 miles due to winds blowing us eastward. Later another fierce storm battered us, and we stopped again. We had more good wind, and we worked hard again and traveled 800 miles. We have 1300 miles left.
Our ships then moved 250 miles and we have 1,050 miles left. Now is the coup de grace as our ship the Flyer unfortunately sunk, and everything in it perished. A stroke of luck lands us at the New World as we move 1,200 miles due to great winds moving us westward! God bless us!!
01/24/08 - We are about to pick our land. We hope to find Acorn Indians, so we can trade and live together in peace.
A few hours later... We just selected our landing spot. We are next to the Seques Indians. They gave us 200 pounds of food, and we greatly thank them because we are low on food. Our land is worth 200 pounds, and is southward on the land. The Swimming Pizza Eating Penguins settled near us after we landed, and we hope dearly that they will be friendly to us, for we have lost our ship.
01/25/08 - The colony awaits the governor's next move... A few hours later.... We had a flood, and we sadly lost two men, one woman, and 300 units of food. Later on..... We traded with the Indians. We gained 100 pounds of land in exchange for three horses. Afterwards...... The hunters that we sent out reported back with only five units of food each and were also saying they were ambushed by Indians.
