Welcome to The Ice Cream Beach Puppies!

Meet The Ice Cream Beach Puppies:

Our governor is Sam. He is responsible for leading our colony and making final decisions. Our banker, who is in charge of all of our money, is Laura. Another important job is that of our recorder, Marty. This person must keep track of everything we do! Our trader, Rory, has good negotiating skills to deal with the natives and other colonies. Lastly, our mapper is the one who keeps track of our land (how much it is worth, who is in the area). This is Lindsey. Together, we are The Ice Cream Beach Puppies!

Why Did We Colonize:

Our group decided to go to the New World in order to colonize this new area and gain wealth and power. We have been sponsored by the government which has given us initial supplies and will send us a shipment mid-way through our adventure. At the conclusion, we must pay the government half our land at the end of our great adventure.

What We Stand For:

We are the Ice Cream Beach Puppies! Our group picked this name because we all like ice cream, puppies, and the beach. We are putting all those things in our flag. There is a giant puppy on an ice cream cone. The puppy shall be our official mascot! The colors we picked are red for courage because we don’t want to be cowards. We picked blue for freedom because we don’t want to be overrun by some other colony and black for strength because we don’t want to be a weak colony. And finally, we have a yellow border for wealth and justice because we don’t want to be poor or heartless. All together, we made a flag that has a black background, red stripes with blue stars, a yellow border, an ice cream cone with a dog on top, and the words “Ice Cream” to show others that we are the Ice Cream Beach Puppies!

Our Ships' Names and Cargo:

Our first ship is named The Stoutmane and carries three men, three women, and four children. We have three horses and three farm animals on this ship. It also has two guns for hunting and 250 units of food. Our second ship is called The Life Honor and has three men, three women, and two children. The other items are the same. Our third and final ship  has 20 men, 10 women, and no children. All other cargo is the same.

Our Colonization Journal

11/27/07 - Today we set sail for the New World . .It was grueling hard work, but it all payed off eventually. The first two weeks we moved forward 1,200 miles with a strong westward current and fair winds. In week four, we traveled 600 miles due to fairly good winds and hard work. The next week we journeyed another 1,200 miles and even more good winds. . .
