Meet The M & M Leprechauns:
Our governor is Amanda, and our vice-governor is Mike. They are responsible for leading our colony and making final decisions. Our banker, who is in charge of all of our money, is Jason. Another important job is our recorder, Sarah. This person must keep track of everything we do! Our trader, Yanni, has good negotiating skills to deal with the natives and other colonies. Lastly, our mapper is the one who keeps track of our land (how much it is worth, who is in the area). This is Patrick. Together, we are The M&M Leprechauns!!!
Why Did We Colonize:
Our group decided to go to the New World in order to colonize this new area and gain wealth and power. We have been sponsored by a private company which has given us initial supplies and will send us a shipment mid-way through our adventure. At the conclusion, we must pay the company one quarter of our wealth.
What We Stand For:
Our group name is The M&M Leprechauns. Our colors are red, blue, yellow, green ,orange and black. Red is for courage;blue is for peace and freedom; yellow is for wealth; green is for agriculture; and black is for strength!!!! We put clovers on our flag for luck on our journey to the New World. We put M&Ms on it because we love to be sweet and nice to the other colonies! That is some awesome information about our flag!!!
Our Ships' Names and Cargo:
Our first ship is named Le Candy and carries four men, three women, and three children. We have two horses and five farm animals on this ship. It also has three guns for hunting and 242 units of food. Our second ship is called The M&M Sailor and has four men, three women, and three children. The other items are the same, except we have 241 units of food. Our third and final ship is the The Sailing Leprechaun and has four men, three women, and three children. All other cargo is the same. Now we have 242 units of food.
Our Colonization Journal
11/21/07 - Today we set sail for the New World. We started with light wind and traveled 700 miles. The next day we saw we sailed another 700 miles. We had very good weather and sailed 600 miles. Not much I know, but as long as we survive we are okay. Then we had very little winds and only sailed 200 miles. After a few weeks we were only 100 miles to shore when our beloved ship the M&M Sailor sunk. We are very upset. Goodbye England we have a new home now!
11/27/07 - A couple days later we manged to get through ice and snow to get 250 miles, and we saw land. We shouted out with glee "Land ho!!!" It was a long, tragic journey, but we managed to get to land.
11/29/07 - We sent five men out to check out the land, and it has been a couple weeks, and they have not returned. We assume they are now dead. Then we found out where we settled were the Irrock Indians. We also formed an alliance with the Ice Cream Beach Puppies. We are very greatful that we have them on our side!
