Welcome to The Mighty Elves!
Meet The Mighty Elves:
Our governor is Brian. He is responsible for leading our colony and making final decisions. Our banker, who is in charge of all of our money, is Lexie. Another important job is our recorder, Matt. This person must keep track of everything we do! Our trader,Shane, has good negotiating skills to deal with the natives and other colonies. Lastly, our mapper is the one who keeps track of our land (how much it is worth, who is in the area). This is Grace. Together, we are The Mighty Elves!
Why Did We Colonize:
Our group decided to go to the New World in order to colonize this new area and gain wealth and power. We have been sponsored by a private company which has given us initial supplies and will send us a shipment mid-way through our adventure. At the conclusion, we must pay the company one quarter of our wealth.
What We Stand For:
The colors we chose for our flag are green, blue, orange, and purple. The reason we chose blue is because it meant freedom, and we chose green because it‘s the color of an elf's shirt, hat, and pants. The next colors we chose were purple and orange. The reason we chose them was because our whole entire group loves those colors. We put stars on our flag to represent how many people are in our group. The elf is put on the flag because it’s name of our group, The Mighty Elves. These are all the colors and designs we put on our flag.
Our Ships' Names and Cargo:
Our first ship is called The Elf Mobile and carries 15 men, 15 women, and five children. We have four horses and ten farm animals on this ship. It also has ten guns for hunting and 300 units of food. Our second ship is called The Rudolph and has ten men, ten women, and ten children. The other items are the same. Our third and final ship is called The Santa and has 20 men, 10 women, and no children. All other cargo is the same.
Our Colonization Journal
11/27/07 - Today we set sail for the New World and The Elf Mobile, The Rudolph, and The Santa covered 700 miles in the first round. We have 2,800 miles to go. There were lots of big wind storms, but we made it. We covered 100 miles during the big wind storm. Next we covered the same amount of miles in the same storm.
11/29/07 - We just found land, and the children went out and got us berries for food. We are very happy that we finally found land, and it was a good choice for settling.
